The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is found in the northeast corner of Alberta with nine rural communities and one urban service area. The urban Service Area within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo known as Fort McMurray is experiencing rapid growth. This Rapid growth rate of has put callenges on the community to provide adequate recreational activities for their residents. The upgrading of Sister Mary Phillips/ Dickinsfield Community Park will bring the region closer to realizing their guiding principles.
Recently, the RMWB identified the need to assess the condition of Sister Mary Phillips / Dickinsfield High Community Park This site is approximately 3.7 hectares and has three (3) stakeholders located on the site; the RMWB, the FMCS, the FMPSD. Stantec has been asked to work with the regioal municipality to upgrade the park. Stantec will be responsable for the design and construction management of the Sister Mary Phillips / Dickinsfield Community Park and ensureing there is connectivity and continuity with the other stakeholders on the site.
